Once a year the whole crew goes. Same week, same hotel, surf and golf.
You surf every day and you golf every day. Petty-cash golf with the boys, sports on at night, then drink, jacuzzi, repeat.
You follow the swell. Some mornings that is Pipeline. Some mornings that is V-Land. You are not picking a break from a brochure.
Golf is Palmer and Fazio at Turtle Bay, plus Royal Hawaiian and Ko Olina. You play and stay Turtle Bay.

Road trip days too. Journey at Pechanga when we want the long drive and a card that actually matters.
Costa Mesa is Stableford. Points, not polite. You can still talk if you lose. You just talk less.
Once a year we run USA vs International. Our Ryder Cup. Flags, sides, petty cash. You want a team, put your name on the list.
The rotation is Costa Mesa, Oak Creek, Strawberry, Rancho San Joaquin, Irvine, Journey at Pechanga, Pelican Hill, Monarch Beach, Talega, and Mesa Verde CC.
